Artwork Statement:

This work is about the hidden and known struggles pitted against all women in society. Inside of the woman’s thoughts and feelings resides this notion to be more like the “other”. However, this conflict is rarely spoken out loud leaving the possibility to achieve a calm resolve impossible. Conflicted Resolve is an outward expression of this battle and internalized competition. Through the simple use of verbal and physical movement, a journey toward mutual respect and understanding will be visually revealed.
